Semi-Sugar Fodder Beet "Zentaur Poly".
A multi-germ semi-sugar type variety, ready for harvest 145-160 days after sowing.
Shape: oval-elongated.
Color: creamy white.
Flesh: white.
A distinctive feature of the massive white roots (weighing about 1.2-2.7 kg) is the absence of side branching. The roots have an elongated-oval shape and are only slightly soiled with soil, as their root groove is shallow.
It is very important that this fodder beet is resistant to bolting and Cercospora leaf spot.
This variety can be grown in almost any conditions, as it is undemanding to soil composition and is characterized by good drought resistance.
Both roots and leaves of the beet grow quickly, and the finished product can be stored until May in cool rooms with a temperature of 0+4°C, with insignificant losses.
One of the main advantages of the "Zentaur Poly" variety is that it grows 60% submerged in the soil, which makes manual harvesting possible.
In addition, this variety is distinguished by a high content of dry matter, excellent keeping quality, and disease resistance.
Seeds are sown in May, to a depth of up to 3 cm (optimal soil temperature for germination is +20+22°C).
Sowing scheme: 20 x 45 cm.
Seeding rate: 15-20 kg/ha.
Root crops are harvested before the onset of frost.
This is a polyploid variety with white beets. It produces high fresh yields. Harvesting can be done by hand or by machine.
The dry matter content is 13 to 14% and the beets are very suitable for long storage.
